It was big and noisy, drank gasoline like no other and emitted lots of carbon dioxide. After the financial crisis, it came to symbolize much of what went wrong and production was shut down in 2010. Now it comes back as an electric car.

General Motors re-launched Hummer in a commercial during the Super Bowl. The car is still big with a 1000 horsepower engine, but now based on an electric motor. It will do 0-60 mph in three seconds.

Initially, Hummer was a military vehicle, called the Humvee, but became popular in the private market as well. After the financial crisis, as the gasoline price rose, it lost its luster and production ceased.

Large SUVs and pick-ups are popular cars, especially in the United States. They have large engines and emit a lot of carbon dioxide. Therefore, it is crucial that they switch to electric power as soon as possible.

Ford has previously announced that its extremely popular F-150 pick-up will become an electric car and Tesla created headlines around the world when they launched their odd Cyber​​truck.
