On July 21, demand reached 87,403 megawatts. That broke the previous record of 85,508 megawatts from August 2023. The next day, July 22, demand rose to 91,308 megawatts at around 5 p.m. One megawatt is enough to supply about 250 homes when consumption is at its highest.
