XPRIZE is interested in realizing your world-changing idea.

Call for Future-Positive Ideas is your opportunity to share your big idea for a potential XPRIZE competition in one of five areas: biodiversity and conservation, climate and energy, health, learning and society, or space and exploration.

From idea to concrete competition design

If your idea meets the criteria for an XPRIZE competition, it can be used as the basis for a more detailed competition design. Participants may also be invited to attend XPRIZE's meeting this fall.

The world needs crazy ideas

Solutions can come from anyone, anywhere on the planet. Engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, innovators, citizen scientists, and high school students have embraced the spirit of competition and won millions of dollars in prize money.

Five areas

Biodiversity and conservation

A vision for a future where humanity works together for a sustainable world for all life on earth. Collaboration between indigenous peoples, local communities, governments, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector creates technology-based frameworks to protect biodiversity and its interactions. Through fair and sustainable management of land and water, and innovative conservation technology, threatened species and ecosystems can recover and thrive.

Climate and energy

A future where clean and sustainable energy is available to everyone at affordable prices, improving human well-being and climate justice. XPRIZE works with innovators to find positive solutions to energy and climate challenges and accelerate the creation of breakthroughs. The goal is a future with stable climate and sustainable energy.

Health

A future where everyone has access to high-quality, personalized, and precision healthcare, where our physical environment supports our well-being and social systems uplift the health of entire communities. Where everyone can live a long, productive, and meaningful life, regardless of where they come from. This is achieved through a democratized, interconnected, and globally collaborative care chain that supports the quality of life, health, and mental health for all. Preventive and proactive care is prioritized over reactive healthcare, and new systems are optimized to predict, detect, and prevent disease at an early stage, reducing the need for late treatments.

Learning and society

By 2045, all people, regardless of background, have access to personalized education and knowledge is demonetized and integrated into society. The internet provides universal access to learning that is more virtual, immersive, gamified, and hands-on. Decentralized structures, technology, innovation, and AI-mediated insights drive equitable human progress.

Space and exploration

In 2045, humans are venturing out into space not only to explore and understand, but also to learn how to protect and repair Earth's biosphere. Technological advancements have reduced costs and increased safety for travel beyond low Earth orbit, enabling the search for alternatives for humanity's long-term survival. Innovative companies and technology are contributing to the utilization of space energy and material resources to protect and repair Earth's biosphere, with access to unlimited resources and safer planetary defense against cosmic threats.
