πŸ”‹ In Lund for an exciting inauguration

Today I'm in Lund for the inauguration of the first facility in Project Energy Society.

Energy Society is Jonas Birgersson's idea for a society with abundant, clean, and cheap energyβ€”so abundant that we can get all the electricity we need at a low, fixed price.

The key is energy storage and sharing. When I have a surplus, I can share it with you when you have a deficit. Storage can take many forms, but batteries will be an essential component. Their advantage is that they're continually getting cheaper. Just like solar and wind power, which will be the main energy sources, although any form of energy will work.

My foundation, Warp Institute, is part of running Project Energy Society (though all the work so far is done by Jonas and the team in Lund), and together we've written the Energy Society Manifesto.

I'll be back on Tuesday with a report from Lund.
