We have written previously about an artificial tree using moss that sucks up as much pollution as 275 regular trees. And also about a new kind of concrete on which moss can grow, and help clean the air.

Now a company called Briiv, based in the UK, is about to launch a Kickstarter campaign for a portable air filter that uses moss, coconuts and wool to clean the air.

Natural dried moss and activated charcoal help take out particulate matter and odors from the air. The coconut's husk traps harmful substances from the air. NASA also uses the wool in air filters is as useful as a plastic HEPA filter but 100% biodegradable, writes Briiv on their website.

On their website, you can sign-up to be alerted when the air filter goes live on Kickstarter.
