SpaceX is in full swing, launching thousands of satellites that will cover the entire planet with high speed internet. The project is called Starlink and has been in beta testing in certain parts of the world. Starlink can now be ordered everywhere, and is expected to roll out throughout the remainder of 2021 and 2022.
The down payment on the hardware is $99 dollars and will then cost a few hundred dollars more upon delivery.
According to SpaceX, Starlink will be rolled out to the world starting this year. You can check Starlink's website yourself to see when it is expected to be available where you live.
"SpaceX has indicated that the speeds will not reach maximum capacity during the beta program. Despite this, users state that they are extremely satisfied and that they have a download speed of over 160 megabits per second ..."
Because the antenna is not larger than a pizza box and it is easy to connect to the satellites, you can easily take fast internet with you all over the world. Think about the possibilities it opens up.
Neurlink is not the only company trying to merge the man with the machine. Synchron has now got approved by FDA to implant its "brain-computer interface" on patients with severe paralysis, for an early feasibility study.
